Safety isn't a department, it's core business for everyone who works in transit. That's the idea behind the 2nd annual OPTA Fall Member Meet-Up, returning October 1 - 2, 2026. Building on the success of last year's debut, we're once again uniting our three fall regional meetings into a single event, combining in-person committee meetings, a sharpened focus on road safety initiatives, and a policy forum where members can collectively tackle the pressures facing transit agencies large and small across Ontario. Whether you're a transit leader, communicator, maintenance professional, trainer, HR expert, or work in operations or safety, the agenda has been built with you in mind.

The morning program will include a combined Safety and Training Committee and HR/Operations Committee session, along with a YRT garage field trip for maintenance professionals.
